Chernel Botanic Garden There is an other surprise at the end of Hunyadi Street. You can find the famous Chernel Botanic Garden here with a memorial stone of the ornithologist of European reputation, István Chernel (Sándor Mayer, 1931) at the entrance. Chernel István Museum was opened to the public in the neighbouring Chernel Garden here in 1995 (2 Arboretum street) and the Vas county Office of Fertő-Hanság Natural Park can be found here, the staff of which even operate a bird hospital here.
