The rich collection of the Stefanich Winery

The maternal grandfather of the winemaker Kornél Stefanich - Miklós Preisz - was a decisive figure in the viticulture in Kőszeg between the 1960s and the 1990s. In addition to his work, he gradually collected and purchased old equipments. These are mainly agricultural, viticultural and oenological tools, but there are also some contemporary household and other industrial tools. The most beautiful piece in his collection is the old grape grinder given as a gift from the sister city of Vahingen an der Enz. He initially stored the collected items in his own cellar and barn. When the collection had outgrown the available space, his son built a nice showroom in the garden of their winery which is also suitable for wine tastings.
