Mining Museum (Goberling)
At the Mining Museum, children can learn about the daily lives of miners through a rebuilt tunnel and an interactive exhibition.
Various ores have been mined on the outskirts of the settlement since the 15th century, and antimony since 1744. Its inhabitants also worked largely in the nearby mine or in the glass smelter of the Batthyánys. The mine operated until 1999 and now houses a mining museum. Through the museum’s rebuilt tunnel and an interactive exhibition, visitors can learn about the daily lives of antimony miners. Some bronze casting forms of Velem from the Late Bronze Age can also be viewed in connection with the use of antimony.
